What 5 Things Would You Buy If You Had A Million Dollars?

I thought I'd do a little experiment with my family this week. I asked each of them to tell me what 5 things they would buy if they had a million dollars. I wanted to see what the difference between each of them would be, considering they each have different interests and personalities. I will post everyone's response throughout this week.

We'll start with the obvious, Me. The first thing I would buy would be a house. Preferably an earth home designed by my very talented husband. I would want to put it somewhere on the land we live on now. I want it to have a large kitchen with upgraded appliances, and a big deck or patio overlooking an awesome play area for my grandkids. Maybe even an underground salt water pool, though that isn't a necessity. The outdoor space should look something like this:

The second thing I would buy is a vacation to Disney World. I would take all our kids, grandkids, and my nieces and nephews. My mom would have to come along to help with all the kids. I've never been to Disney, so obviously it would be an awesome experience for all of us. We would want to stay at one of those resorts that are right there at the park. Oh my gosh, just thinking about it is making me grin.

The third thing I would buy is a pair of new computers. I've always wanted a MacBook, but the cost is really hard to absorb when you are frugal like me and can get a decent PC for $400.00. I would pair the MacBook with an iMac desktop to put in my home office.

For the fourth purchase, I would hire a personal trainer to come to my house and yell at me. I watch The Biggest Loser, and apparently yelling is the way to get people to lose massive amounts of weight. Now don't read too much into it, I don't think I need to lose a massive amount of weight, but I could lose 40 pounds or so to be somewhat healthier.

The fifth, but not last thing I would buy is a no-kill animal rescue. I would rescue primarily dogs and horses.  However, I would accept cats as well. I tell my husband weekly I would have a hundred dogs if I could, he said he would move out. I think if they all lived at the rescue, he'd be okay with that.

There you have it, the five things I would buy if I had a million dollars. What would you buy with your million dollars?

Live Happy :)
